Mobile information and communication technologies (ICT) for seniors
The NBCC Mobile First Technology initiative's (MFTi) research goals in this area are to design technologies that (1) enable aging as a positive experience and (2) foster age-friendly communities. MFTI has received several requests to engage in the design or evaluation of mobile ICT that address life-critical issues facing seniors, including fire and flood prevention in living spaces, falls prevention, and facilitating various aspects of in-home healthcare and daily activities.
