Clinical simulation
Clinical simulation technologies are designed to optimize the automaticity of teams in critical skills delivery. Automaticity is the ability to automatically respond with strong technical proficiency, usually through repeated practice and reinforcement. The training of nurses and first responders using clinical simulation technologies, such as medical manikins, can play a significant role in the development of automicity skills. There are opportunities to improve clinical simulation training through enhanced or novel technologies.
The NBCC Mobile First Technology initiative is collaborating with the College's nursing faculty in the design of novel clinical simulation technologies with the goal of improving education and training for nurses and first responders.
